Time-Domain Scattering of Moving Target Based on Improved SBR-PTD Method

This paper presents an improved hybrid method of shooting and bouncing ray (SBR) and physical theory of diffraction (PTD) method for the analysis of time-domain echo of moving target. Initially, the arbitrary incident pulse is decomposed into a linear superposition of plane waves. Secondly, the plane waves with different amplitudes and phases obtained by decomposition are substituted into the SBR method as the incident waves at different frequency points, combined with the quaternion and the dynamic octree algorithm, the scattering fields at different frequencies are obtained. Finally, the time domain scattering echo of the moving target can be obtained by combining the scattering fields. At the end of this paper, we compare the single-frequency RCS and time-domain echo of the moving targets with the results in the commercial software Feko, verify the accuracy of our method in the electromagnetic scattering analysis of the moving targets.
