A Wearable All-Textile Filtering Antenna with High Selectivity for 2.4-GHz ISM Applications
A wearable all-textile filtering antenna with high selectivity is proposed in this paper. The proposed antenna is composed of a rectangular patch etched with two slots and four parasitic strips. Two radiation nulls at the both band edge of the antenna gain curve are realized by the slots and the parasitic strips. The frequency of two radiation nulls can be flexibly controlled by the length of slots and the length of strips. The proposed antenna has a -10dB impedance bandwidth of 10.2% (2.31-2.56GHz), which effectively covers the 2.4-GHz ISM band. The antenna has a very flat gain with the average of 7.2 dBi within the frequency range of 2.36 to 2.51GHz. The suppression level of the out of band gain on both sides is more than 13.5 dB. The lower and upper band selectivities are both of 212.5dB/GHz.
