Novel Efficient DGTD Method for Dispersive Bianisotropic Metamaterials via Homogenization
A novel efficient 3-D discontinuous Galerkin time-domain (DGTD) method is developed for modeling bianisotropic metamaterials. The dispersion nature is characterized by a complete dispersive model. Utilizing the bilinear transform and explicit leap-frog time integration, the novel DGTD method for the dispersive bianisotropic medium has been derived, which represents the first kind in the DGTD community. An actual 3-D bianisotropic Ω-class metamaterial is homogenized and simulated, showing much high efficiency of the proposed DGTD method.
