On Solution of Consumer Disputes Arising on Russian Online Platforms

This article is devoted to increase the efficiency of consumer dispute resolution that arise when trading on the Russian online platforms. Dispute settlement mechanisms using on the Russian major marketplaces are considered. A content of initial and subsequent text of the bill № 1138398-7 about establishment of a legal framework for development of system of alternative online dispute resolution is researched. It is proposed to oblige operators of marketplaces to approve the rules of online dispute resolution, to establish a mandatory pre-trial claim procedure for resolving the disputes through services built into intermediary online platforms.
