SISTEMAS DE INFORMAÇÃO NA ÁREA DA SAÚDE
The digitalization in healthcare has driven the use of Health Information Systems (HIS), which assist in managing clinical data and improving patient care. These systems bring benefits such as process optimization, error reduction, and data integration. However, challenges like information security, data privacy, and professional training still need to be addressed. Thus, the aim of this paper is to present the concept of HIS, analyzing the quality of information in these systems through a literature review, highlighting the need to improve information quality in HIS in Brazil and emphasizing the importance of public policies, technological investments, and continuous training.
