Neoplasia pulmonar primária em cão
O objetivo deste trabalho foi apresentar o caso de neoplasia pulmonar primária em um cão. Primary pulmonary neoplasia affects approximately 0.5 to 1.2% of all tumors, often diagnosed as malignant, with pulmonary adenocarcinoma being the most common. Most affected animals do not show clinical signs, with some signs appearing in the advanced stages of the disease. Diagnosis is conducted through radiography, with three projections: right and left lateral-laterals, and ventro-dorsal or dorso-ventral. However, computed tomography allows for better visualization of size, calcification, number, and density of the lesion. Nevertheless, for a definitive diagnosis, histopathological examination is recommended. Treatment involves surgical intervention, specifically pulmonary lobectomy. Chemotherapy can be administered but demonstrates low efficacy in these cases. The aim of this study was to present a case of primary lung neoplasia in a dog.
