Design Smart Teacher AI Application to Support Differentiated Learning in Science
Differentiated learning is the term used to describe the meaningful, relevant and enjoyable learning that is currently required in schools. It is based on the requirements of the students. However, planning and implementing differentiated learning is not easy, where almost all teachers experience difficulties in designing and implementing differentiated learning that is in accordance with the learning profile and character of students appropriately due to the lack of experience and skills of teachers with differentiated learning. The learning carried out by teachers so far has been minimally innovative, tends to be the same and repetitive and tends to be monotonous without variation, let alone the application of technology and does not pay attention to the learning needs of students. Only teachers with high TPACK skills can apply technology in learning with a model that suits the learning needs of students to teach material that is easy for students to understand, meaningful and fun. Therefore, an application is needed that can help teachers improve their TPACK by providing various alternatives and innovative solutions in the form of differentiated learning recommendations based on student learning needs. The application Smart Teacher was created using an expert system with forward chaining, in which the system is driven by the facts now in existence. These details, often known as symptoms, are gleaned from the patient's bodily state. Users from all around the world can connect and access the internet thanks to the existence of an expert system built on Android. Interviews are used in the process of gathering knowledge. The analysis indicates that 90% of this expert system's program is suitable for teachers to use. In addition, the convenience of use of the program receives a high percentage according to the questionnaire answers.
