Waveguide discontinuity analysis with full-wave finite element 3D propagation operator method

We newly present finite element 3D propagation operator method (FE-3DPOM) with the perfectly matched layer (PML) for numerical analysis of optical waveguide discontinuities. The validity is investigated by a numerical example of a waveguide facet. OCIS codes: 130.0130,130.3120,130.1750,050.1755.
