Abstract

The issue of intelligence in psychology has been studied thoroughly, but most of the research concerns the study of mental intelligence. As for, emotional intelligence, its role and significance in a person‘s life and career have only recently begun to be discussed. Emotional intelligence allows a person to understand and manage their emotions, as well as recognize the emotions of others. Interpreting others emotions helps a person avoids conflicts, looks at the situation from a different perspective, and show flexible thinking. This suggests that emotional intelligence is associated with creativity. Creativity allows you to find new ways of solving the problem, think outside the box, and grow new opportunities for innovation. The article presents the ideas of D. Goleman, D. Simpson, E. Torrance, J. Renzulli and others. A comparative analysis of the mental and emotional intelligence has been carried out. The article focuses on how emotional intelligence interacts with creativity. A research or people of different age groups was conducted in order to understand the development dynamics of the emotional intelligence and creativity.
