ADVANTAGES OF USING STEAM TECHNOLOGY IN PRESCHOOL AGE

The article presents the advantages of using STEAM technology in the context of the requirements of the State preschool educational standard of the Republic of Armenia. The possibilities of STEAM technology in fixing the final results in the areas of development and formation of basic competencies of preschoolers have been analyzed. The effectiveness of integrating development areas of preschool children based on the principle of completing the components of STEAM technology is substantiated. STEAM technology complies with the regulatory requirements of the preschool educational standard of the Republic of Armenia and, in case of purposeful integration of the development areas, allows you to form the final educational results in accordance with the standard. Examples of obtaining final educational results by logical justification and implementation of preschool children’s own actions, demonstration of independence and search for non-standard solutions are described. This is also facilitated by the formation of generalized ideas about the integrity of the world through the development of interest in science and technology, art and experimentation among preschoolers.
