Single Image Defogging Algorithm Based on Adaptive Exposure Enhancement
This paper proposes a single image defogging algorithm based on adaptive exposure enhancement to address issues such as blurred edges, color distortion, and dim brightness in restored images. This algorithm first uses a bright channel prior and a dark channel prior to obtain the transmittance, and performs fusion and optimization processing. Then, based on the atmospheric scattering model, the restored image is obtained. Then, adaptive gamma correction is used to process the darker parts of the restored image, and then lighting enhancement is used to highlight the details of the corrected image. The experimental results on the SOTS dataset show that the image restored using our algorithm has rich details, natural colors, and has also achieved good improvement in objective indicators such as structural similarity and peak signal-to-noise ratio.
