Performance Analysis of Multiple Indexed Modulation Based OFDM
Orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) indexed modulation systems achieve higher information transmission rates than orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) by selecting different combinations of subcarrier indexes to transmit additional information. In this paper, we investigate the effects of different sub-carrier activation ratios and modulation orders on the spectral efficiency and bit error rate performance of single-mode indexing (OFDM-IM) and dual-mode indexing (DM-OFDM), compare them with OFDM, and then analyze the intrinsic reasons and obtain the corresponding experimental conclusions, so as to provide data support for the design and application of more indexing modes.
