Numerical Simulation of Bulletproof Performance Based on LS-DYNA Composite Target Plate
Based on the properties of different bulletproof materials, a composite target plate with structure of polyurethane/aluminum foam/rubber /Kevlar/TC4 is designed in this paper. By using the finite element analysis software ANSYS/LS-DYNA, Lagrange algorithm was selected to simulate the process of bullet penetration into the target plate, and the bulletproof performance of the composite target plate was analyzed from the aspects of bullet velocity attenuation and target plate damage. The simulation results show that the composite target plate with polyurethane/aluminum foam/rubber /Kevlar/TC4 structure meets the second level protection standard of the national police body armor standard GA 141-2010.
