Numerical Simulation Study of 30CrMnSiA Thin-walled Cylinders with Staggered Spinning
30CrMnSiA steel is widely used in the manufacture of rocket engine housings, and the staggered spinning process has become an advanced processing technology because of its small amount of stock removal when manufacturing thin-walled cylinders. ABAQUS software serves to simulate the process of staggered spinning molding for thin-walled shells. It is utilized to comprehensively analyze the impact of thinning rate and feed rate on the roundness accuracy of the outer diameter of the workpiece, as well as the spinning pressure. Furthermore, experiments are conducted to validate the obtained results, ensuring their accuracy and reliability. The findings indicate that the thinning rate and feed rate exert a significant influence on the precision of the workpiece. The optimal processing parameters are as follows: thinning rate of 45%, feed rate of 100mm/min, spindle speed of 100r/min, and spinning wheel fillet radius of 7mm. The experimental results confirm the feasibility of the molding program, and the dimensional accuracy achieved through the optimal spinning process holds significant reference value for the advancement of rocket engine case manufacturing technology.
