Structural Design and Simulation of Multifunctional Nursing Wheelchair
In response to the prevalent societal issues of disabled individuals lacking independent mobility in their daily lives, a multifunctional nursing wheelchair has been designed to address these challenges. The device is not only suitable for confined indoor environments but also capable of assisting individuals with limited mobility in transitioning between standing, sitting, and lying positions. Additionally, it can facilitate patients in toileting activities. In order to solve the shortcomings of the traditional posture changing wheelchair in terms of comfort during posture transformation, a novel structure is proposed: a unique eccentric distance compensating posture frame to solve the physiological squeezing problem caused by the inconsistency between the human knee joint and the rotation axis of the wheelchair leg panel. Finally, Adams simulation and validation of the posture frame developed based on the above features are performed.
