Emotional Design of Elderly Companion Robot Based on KANO Model
OBJECTIVE: To cope with the accelerating trend of aging, relieve the pressure of social and family pension, meet the needs of the elderly population, and enrich the design and research of intelligent robot products for the elderly population. METHODS: (1) Review the development status of companion robots for the elderly by combing and analyzing relevant literature; (2) Combining the three-level model of emotional design with KJ method, qualitative analysis is made on the needs of the elderly group to obtain the elements of emotional design needs; (3) Using the Kano model to conduct quantitative evaluation and functional ranking of the emotional needs model, and design the product according to the evaluation results. RESULTS: According to the results of the emotional-KANO model assessment to modelling design of products, make the product model, check the appearance and the rationality of the structure and optimize the design. CONCLUSION: Under the guidance of this method, the emotional design of the elderly companion robot is feasible, which can quickly and accurately locate the needs of users, and provide a new path for the design innovation of assistive products for the elderly group.
