Research on the Design and Evaluation of Virtual Driving Simulator Product Based on KE-FAHP

The study intends to design virtual driving simulators that meet user expectations and market demands, aiming to enhance user experience and market competitiveness and better serve vehicle driving training. Differential needs of various user groups were explored through Kansei Engineering (KE), and design elements of virtual driving simulators were extracted based on lexical inference. An evaluation index model for design elements was constructed using the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), with the weight of each index element being calculated. Subsequently, the design effectiveness of virtual driving simulators was scientifically assessed through the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation (FCE) method, leading to the derivation of the optimal solution. Key factors influencing the design of virtual driving simulators include anthropometric compatibility, overall comfort, structural safety and stability, openness, ease of operation, and realism. Considering each element in a targeted manner during practical application can render the design and optimization process more efficient. The combination of KE and the Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (FAHP) validated the scientific nature of design research, providing effective references for subsequent product design endeavors.
