Reforming the Undergraduate Curriculum of Biomedical Testing Technology: Challenges and Strategies

Biomedical testing technology plays a crucial role in modern medicine, encompassing disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis monitoring. With the rapid advancements in this field, higher education institutions face the challenge of updating their curricula to ensure graduates are well-prepared with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills. This study investigates the current issues in the undergraduate biomedical testing technology curriculum, such as outdated content, disconnect between theory and practice, insufficient multidisciplinary integration, and lack of student engagement. We propose a comprehensive reform strategy to address these challenges, including enhancing the balance between theory and practice, integrating cutting-edge knowledge, fostering multidisciplinary learning, and adopting innovative teaching methods. The goal is to improve the overall learning outcomes and competencies of students, equipping them with the skills needed to excel in their future careers and contribute to the advancement of biomedical testing technology.
