PARETO Training Workshop: Optimized Decision-Making for Produced Water Networks
Variables 3 Parameters 4 PARETO 101: How Can an Optimization Model be Used?8 Optimization models don't just predict what could happen, they make recommendations about what should be done to improve objective(s). The mathematical optimization model is implemented as software This software is used as follows:1.The user provides input data. Typical data include network components and connections, costs, forecasts, etc. The software builds an optimization model. The process is fully automated, but users can (de)activate constraints. The software runs an optimization algorithm. PARETO leverages the Pyomo package as an interface to advanced solvers. The numerical algorithm finds the mathematically proven best possible solution.4. The software returns specific recommendations. PARETO provides tools to study/visualize/analyze the precise results.
