Study on Setting Standby and Total Time for a Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability Target Value of Anti-Air Guided Missile System Based on Peacetime Operational Mode Summary/Mission Profile
Purpose: This study proposes a new method for setting standby and total time for the Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM) target value of an anti-air guided missile system based on peacetime Operational Mode Summary/Mission Profile.
Methods: We analyzed the general operational concept of the anti-air guided missile system and conducted a study review. Based on our findings, we proposed a method for setting standby and total time, which we validated using pseudo-system data.
Results: The proposed method for setting standby and total time proved effective in reducing the disparity among reliability, maintainability, and availability while increasing the level of design optimization for the system.
Conclusion: This method can be used to establish a reasonable RAM target value during the research and development phase of the anti-air guided missile system.
