FORMATION OF THE STRUCTURE OF TOOL STEELS DURING HEAT TREATMENT WITH HEATING TO EXTREME TEMPERATURES
This article presents the results of a study of the influence of extreme heating temperatures during the hardening of carbon and alloy tool steels on their structure formation. It has been shown that increasing the heating temperature for quenching above 1000C causes the growth of austenite grains, while the dislocation density increases. In this case, a redistribution of carbon atoms occurs-some carbon atoms from the martensite lattice transfer to dislocations.
