Coloration of polyester fabrics with safflower extracts through forming the coat layer with the self-assembling water-soluble feather keratin oligomer
Polyethylene terephthalate (PET) fabrics could be coated with the self-assembling water-soluble feather keratin oligomer and, the keratin-coated PET fabrics could be colored by the natural dyeing technique, i.e. immersing the fabrics in a bath at 90 °C containing safflower extracts. The color strength, K/S, value could be gained to 8.3–10.0 although the keratin-coating layer was partially dissolved in the course of the coloration.
