Analysis of Research Trends Related to Career Education of Vocational Colleges in China

The purpose of this study is to analyze trends related to career education in vocational colleges in China and to derive implications.The analysis target was 332 academic journal papers registered in China related to career education in vocational colleges from 2005 to April 2023, and language frequency analysis and language network analysis were used for the research method.As a result of the analysis, in the frequency analysis of keywords, education, vocational college, career life, vocational college students, curriculum, and career plan were in order.In the language network analysis, the entire network was spread around keywords such as vocational college, vocational college student, vocational college, career life, and education, and the keyword connection centrality was shown to be high in the order of education, vocational college, career life, and occupation.As for the closeness centrality, school-business cooperation and teacher closeness centrality were the highest.As for the betweenness centrality, education and vocational college were the highest, and career life, vocational college student, career plan, and curriculum design were shown in the order of highest frequency.As a result of the discussion, it was found that there was a need for emphasizing the importance of instructors in career education, necessity of research related to career competency, systematization of career education, and psychological stability in employment guidance and counseling.
