IMPACTO DO CONTROLE DA HIPERTENSÃO ARTERIAL NA REDUÇÃO DE EVENTOS CARDIOVASCULARES: UMA REVISÃO INTEGRATIVA
Arterial hypertension is one of the main modifiable risk factors for the development of cardiovascular events, such as myocardial infarction, stroke, and heart failure. Proper blood pressure control has been widely studied and shows significant impact in reducing these events. This integrative review aims to synthesize the evidence on the impact of hypertension control in preventing cardiovascular events, addressing the main therapeutic strategies, including lifestyle changes and pharmacological interventions. The barriers to treatment adherence and challenges faced in the public health context were also analyzed. The findings emphasize the importance of more effective interventions and the need for further research to improve hypertension management and reduce associated complications.
