VOCATIONAL GUIDANCE FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES – THE CURRENT STATE AND THE NEEDS OF COUNSELLORS. RESULTS OF A PILOT STUDY
Regardless of the addressee of the service and at every stage of his life, the aim of vocational guidance is to provide the person who expressed the need for professional counselling services with support in achieving social and personal goals. This article presents the results of a pilot study on the provision of vocational guidance to people with disabilities. The research results show that guidance counsellors lack tools and solutions aimed directly at working with people with disabilities. There are no specialised materials to work with this group of people and no training to improve their knowledge of vocational guidance services.
