Intensiveness development of broiler chickens the cross Smena 9 in the fi rst weeks of ontogenesis

The emergence of new meat crosses of chickens on the market with a tendency to reduce the terms of rearing broilers makes research in the fi eld of intensity of poultry growth in the fi rst weeks of life relevant enough. The purpose of the conducted research was to study the intensity of the growth rate of broiler chickens of the domestic cross Smena 9 in the fi rst fi ve weeks of rearing. The data on base of anatomical cuttings, the relative growth rate of live weight and internal organs of cockerels and hens was established, which were used for hierarchical classification with the construction of a dendrogram with sequential unifi cation of clusters by the degree of similarity of features. The relative growth rate of cockerels was higher than that of hens by 0.56–1.18 abs.%. The greatest diff erence in growth rate between cockerels and hens was observed for the brain weight (Δ=6.48–6.64 abs.%), intestine weight (Δ=5.20–9.41 abs.%), heart weight (Δ=2.34–4.88 abs.%) and lung weight (Δ=3.25–5.29 abs.%). The general pattern was the unifi cation of pectoral muscles by relative growth rate at the fi rst stage of agglomeration in cockerels. In hens, this muscle group was allocated to a separate cluster. The live weight of poultry of both sexes fell into the cluster of fast-growing organs and was closest to the kidney growth rate. The heart, lungs, intestine and glandular stomach formed a separate cluster with a moderate growth rate. The muscular stomach and esophagus with crop belonged to the cluster with a slow growth rate.
