Holiday as a collective action: socio-psychological foundations
Over its centuries-long history, the holiday has connected and united people, and over many years of collective participation, it has developed images and symbols that were subsequently included in social practices. The essence of the holiday as a collective action lies in the sacred view of the existing world. Since holidays are the creation of collective creative work, they form the unity of the people, their “face” and specifi city, unique features and similarities. The modern generation, participating in holidays, even today experiences a sense of the sacredness of the time and place of the holiday, and the moments associated with the ritual of the holiday reveal their symbolic and sacred essence. There is no need to say or prove that a joint holiday with loved ones and relatives gathered together at one table, or with people at dozens of tables, spiritually enriches a person. The holiday activates the vision of national history and artistic consciousness, which is characteristic of any nation.
