PRIMEIRA INFÂNCIA E A CRIMINALIDADE NO BRASIL
This article aims to explore the importance of early childhood care and its impact on crime in Brazil. It seeks to understand how investments in policies and programs aimed at this critical phase of human development can influence rates of violence, juvenile delinquency, and criminal recidivism, based on an approach that understands what “early childhood” really is, emphasizing this phase as a tool for crime prevention. The methodology used is that of bibliographic compilation, through studies conducted through research in scientific articles, websites, books, and norms of the Brazilian legal system. First, it will present how experiences related to early childhood influence future behavior, contextualizing the reasons that make special attention given to this phase in a child's life. Then, it will demonstrate the public policies already adopted and the favorable perspectives they have brought to society. Finally, by highlighting the protection mechanisms already in place, it will discuss the importance of promoting them even more. In addition, relevant ideas will be suggested to raise awareness and mobilize society in favor of this cause.
