Minimum inertia demand assessment of a new type of power system considering frequency response characteristics of grid-structured energy storage
Grid-connected energy storage has a wide application prospect in building a new power system in the future because of its ability to solve new energy consumption and improve system frequency support. In this paper, the active power-frequency coupling model is constructed according to the principle of grid-structured energy storage, and the frequency response model of power system with grid-structured energy storage is further established. Finally, the feasibility of the minimum inertia evaluation method of the new power system proposed in this paper is verified by simulation, which provides guidance for the rational allocation of system frequency modulation resources under the access of large-scale grid-structured energy storage.
