Multiload dynamic wireless charging design for sorting robots based on flat disc coil and LCC-S topology

This paper proposes a dynamic wireless charging system for contact-based logistics sorting robots aming to address issues such as insufficient endurance and low sorting efficiency. The system features a magnetic coupler consisting of a large coil embedded in the ground and coils mounted on the robot. The introduction of the LCC-S topology makes it suitable for applications with multiple load constant voltage (CV). A design methods to improve the misalignment performance and reduce the electromagnetic shielding is presented based on the coupler. Resonant network parameters are designed, and load independent CV output and zero phase angle (ZPA) operation are achieved simultaneously. Simulation results show that the proposed dynamic wireless charging system for robots can output a constant voltage at each working power pickup against the load variations.
