Rotor modal analysis of Syn-RM for all-in-one electric vehicles
This study researches the influence of varying material parameters on the natural frequency of electric vehicle (EV) motor rotors. Utilizing modal theory, modal simulations of a distinct rotor shaft are conducted to validate the accuracy of finite element analysis (FEA). Analysis of varied material parameters, comprising mass density, Young's modulus, and shear modulus, elucidates their impacts on rotor natural frequency. The research establishes the relationship between material parameters and rotor natural frequency, emphasizing the significant role of shear modulus in axial frequency. These findings offer insights into material selection for motor rotors, aiding in resonance mitigation and the attainment of vibration and noise reduction objectives.
