Optimization simulation of cutting force energy saving for turning titanium alloy

In order to reduce the energy loss in the process of turning titanium alloy TC4 and realize the purpose of reducing the processing cost and saving energy, the YG6X tool was selected and the turning simulation model was established in ABAQUS software. The rule and degree of influence of cutting parameters on cutting force during turning were studied by single factor test and orthogonal test. The regression model of cutting force is established in SPSS software, and the parameters of the three elements of cutting parameters are optimized in MATLAB software with the minimum cutting heat as the optimization objective. Finally, the optimal cutting parameters with the minimum cutting heat are obtained as cutting speed Vc=39.04m·min-1, feed rate f=0.08mm·r-1, cutting depth ap=0.15mm, which can effectively reduce the energy loss in the process of YG6X tool turning TC4.
