Potential energy recovery system of pure electro-hydraulic excavator

For existing traditional hydraulic excavators, High energy loss and energy is still too low. Regarding these issues, a new pure electro-hydraulic excavator potential energy recovery system is discussed in this paper. The energy recovery system utilizes accumulators and batteries to recover a potential energy of the mechanical arm, boom, and bucket. In the energy utilization stage, Energy stored in accumulators to supply power to the load. A mathematical model is established for the load, pump, motor, and accumulator. Based on the establishment of a mathematical model, the dynamic response is simulated and the dynamic characteristics of each components are analyzed. In addition, a simulation model is established and simulation results are provided. Through simulation, the dissipated energy of arm, boom and bucket are obtained and compared with the dissipated energy without a potential energy recovery system. The dynamic response of the system is simulated and the dynamic characteristics of each component are analyzed. Comparing to the comparison with non potential energy recovery systems, the potential energy recovery and reuse systems, with an energy recovery efficiency improvement of about 60%.
