<b>Perspectiva de la Población Frente al Consumo de Cannabis Medicinal y Recreativo</b>

The objective of this paper is to determine various groups' perspectives on medicinal and recreational cannabis consumption in Costa Rica through a qualitative and cross- sectional methodology, which has a descriptive scope. This study was conducted at the University of Iberoamerica (UNIBE) from September 2023 to May 2024. The sample for the study consisted of 17 individuals who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Among the results, the negative repercussions of recreational consumption stand out. Regarding the medical use of cannabis, it was evident that it can be used as an alternative to deal with various illnesses. Regarding the perspective on legalization, there is a noticeable division, with one part of the population considering it harmful and the other part considering it potentially beneficial.
