PHYSICO-CHEMICAL ASSESSMENT OF WATER QUALITY OF THE BANAS RIVER IN THE RAJSAMAND (DISTRICT) AREA OF RAJASTHAN (INDIA)
In recent years, the deterioration of water quality has increasingly compromised the Banas River's suitability for various beneficial uses.To address this issue and restore the river's ecological sustainability, it is essential to assess and improve its water quality. The Banas River flows through the Rajsamand area in Rajasthan, where anthropogenic activities contribute to water contamination. While the river's self-purification capabilities reduce pollutants to some extent, the influx of undesired substances accelerates contamination, affecting the water's physicochemical properties and rendering it unsuitable for its intended uses.Given the significance of water quality for public health, a comprehensive physicochemical study was conducted to evaluate various water quality parameters of the Banas River in the Rajsamand area during the pre-monsoon seasons from 2022 to 2024
