Synthesis of sphere-shaped S-doped TiO2 with enhanced performance in visible light-driven degradation of formaldehyde from PU coatings
S-doped TiO2 nanosphere with enhanced performance for visible light-driven degradation of formaldehyde was fabricated by solvothermal treatments. These were portrayed by transmission electron microscopy, x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and x-ray diffraction. We studied the photocatalytic degradation of gaseous formaldehyde under simulated conditions using ultraviolet visible spectrum. The degradability of sphere-shaped S-doped TiO2 was appraised via removing the formaldehyde of PU coatings with visible light energy, and 96.8% of degradation ratio in 65 min exhibited high-efficiency photocatalysis.
