Comparison and numerical modelling of optional tailwater outfalls in Yuanhong investment zone
Based on the hydrodynamic conditions of Fuqing Bay, the present situation of sea area exploitation and utilization, and the compliance with relevant planning and zoning, as well as by using the numerical modelling method, we have studied the dispersal of pollution factors, including Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), inorganic nitrogen and reactive phosphate, in the tailwater discharged from the sewage treatment plant in Yuanhong Investment Zone. Modelling results show that the B1 tailwater outfall is a feasible solution for seaward tailwater discharge. Our study objectively reflects the concentration variation and movement law of pollution factors after being discharged into the sea, as well as provides scientific basis and technical support for the protection of marine environment.
