О терминологической путанице при описании зараженности рыб паразитами
The article presents a historical summary on the development of parasitological terms describing quantitative parameters in infected fish descriptions. The considerable variety of fish infestation terms used by different authors indicates the need in terminological unification. In Russian scientific publications, the author proposes to use the terms recommended at the workshop, arranged by the Fish Parasitic Worms Lab of the Zoological Institute of the Academy of Science, USSR, and the Fish Diseases Lab of GosNIORKH (November 4th of 1987, Protocol No. 5). The terms with their formulations were published by N. M. Pronin et al. in 1991, as follows: EI (invasion extensiveness, %), AI (abundance index, non-dimentional value), II (invasion intensity, minimum and maximum values, individuals.), AII (average invasiveness intensity, non-dimentional value).
