Современный состав сообщества рыб галечно-валунных участков приливно-отливной зоны Авачинского залива (Юго-Восточная Камчатка)

Based on the materials collected in 1998 and 2014-2023 in the littoral of three different areas of the Avacha Gulf (north-eastern coast of the Avacha Bay, Krasheninnikov and Starichkov Islands), information on the current fish species composition in pebble-boulder areas of the intertidal zone of this gulf is provided, and the community structure of this biotope littoral ichthyofauna is analyzed. It is shown that 17 representatives of ichthyofauna from 8 families are currently registered here. The fish community of pebble-boulder areas of the Avacha Gulf intertidal zone is everywhere monodominant with absolute dominance (on average, 99.2 % in number; in different areas, from 67.0 to 99.5 %) of the stone cockscomb Alectrias alectrolophus, represented by individuals of all size and age groups (16-143 mm long from fingerlings to fish aged 7 years). The total proportion of the remaining species in the period of research in the pebble-boulder areas of the intertidal zone of the surveyed areas averaged 0.8 % in number (in the littoral of Starichkov Island, 33.0; Krasheninnikov Island, - 4.9; and the north-eastern part of the Avacha Bay, just 0.5 %), and these were mostly smaller juveniles. Comparison of the results obtained in 2021-2023 for the Avacha Bay with the data available for 2018-2020 indicates no fundamental changes in the composition of the this biotope fish community occurred there after the harmful algae bloom in the autumn of 2020.
