DEVELOPING SELECTED MILITARY COMMAND SKILLS OF THE TACTICAL LEVEL IN THE CURRENT SECURITY ENVIRONMENT

The presented article is focused on an attempt to create a model of leadership skills trainingdedicated to military commanders of the tactical level, based on current knowledge and recentexperience. The article presents what leadership competencies are, and on the basis of the conductedresearch an attempt was made to verify the process of shaping leadership skills of tactical levelcommanders, implemented in academic centres and military units. On this basis, a research gapwas identified, conclusions were drawn and a model was proposed for the competent preparationof a commander with leadership skills and abilities updated on the basis of research, correspondingto the needs determined by the requirements of the modern battlefield and technological advancesand access to resources.
