Credevo di coartare, e invece no... Un caso di trombosi aortica neonatale
Noah was born hypotonic and cyanotic, lacked femoral pulses and required invasive ventilatory support. This condition arose the suspicion of aortic coarctation. Indeed, diagnostic imaging revealed massive aortic thrombosis with splenic, intestinal, and renal ischemia, along with bilateral iliac-femoral axis occlusion. Due to the ineffectiveness of fibrinolytic therapy and the technical impossibility of performing surgical thrombectomy, successful thromboaspiration was performed via cardiac catheterization. This procedure involved percutaneous venous access and crossing to the arterial side through the patent ductus arteriosus, resulting in revascularization of downstream areas.
