Nistagmo e diplopia: occhio alla diagnosi
Medulloblastoma is the most common malignant brain tumour in children, primarily located in the cerebellum. This clinical case highlights the importance of maintaining a high clinical suspicion and conducting timely evaluations, even when symptoms are subtle. An 11-year-old previously healthy boy was evaluated for intermittent diplopia without other cerebellar symptoms. MRI revealed a large mass with hydrocephalus and intracranial hypertension, confirmed as medulloblastoma. Early diagnosis, despite mild symptoms, is crucial for appropriate intervention.
