A produção de sentidos sobre as queimadas na Amazônia e a preservação ambiental

This research aims to analyze the meaning-making process among employees of an industry that has sustainability as a corporate pillar, based on the content presented by the program Fantástico, aired by Rede Globo, regarding the Amazon fires and environmental preservation. Through a reception study with focus groups and content analysis, it was possible to observe how both individual and collective subjectivities are formed through the reception of media information, with work serving as a mediating factor. The results indicate a predominance of informative reporting in Fantástico's environmental coverage, focusing on reporting the facts and the impact of human actions on the environment, without delving deeply into the causes or long-term consequences. Another aspect raised by the focus group participants is the political bias in television coverage, which influences the perception of the fires.
