HACI AHMET EFENDI FROM KAYSERI'S PRAİSE OF MECCA, MEDINA AND TA'IF

The religion of Islam mediated the reinterpretation and construction of human history with the revelation that came down in Mecca, one of the important cities of the Arabian peninsula, in 610. The Religion of Islam was born in the city and found the opportunity to become a state by systematizing its existence in the context of the values of the city. The cities in question are Mecca, Medina and Ta'if, which joined them later. The development that started in the city of Mecca completed its development in the city of Medina and was systematized in the context of temples, schools and markets, shedding light from past to present. In the context of city and city culture, which is the subject of studies in different scientific fields, many poetic and prose works on the subject of cities have been written in the field of Turkish-Islamic literature. These types of poems, which contain information about the identity, history, culture and environmental impact of the city, contain information about the places in the cities, the architectural features of these places, the people who lived in these cities and some events that took place in these cities. In our field of literature, these poems, which are written using verse forms such as ode, verse, composition and stanza, can be about praise, satire or elegy. Many poems about the city have been written in the fields of classical literature, folk literature and modern literature from the earliest times to the present day. One of the poets who wrote poems about the city is Hacı Ahmet Baba from Kayseri. He is one of today's dervish lodge poets and has included some information about the holy places, Mecca, Medina and Ta'if, where he went to fulfill his pilgrimage. Our study is on the work "Mecca, Medina and Ta'if invitation" by Hacı Ahmet Baba from Kayseri. In the study, first of all, information about city poems and their characteristics is given in the context of praises offered to cities. Subsequently, information about the life of Hacı Ahmet Baba will be given. By giving information about the printed text of the work, the work will be revealed in detail in terms of its formal and contextual features. In the last part of the study, a transcribed version of the text will be given.
