Towards a Reputational-Based Trustworthy Archaeological Information System

The nature of archaeological practice requires a reliable documentation to enable data sharing and reuse. It arises significant challenges in organizing and objectifying data. This is especially true in Landscape Archaeology, which deals with heterogeneous and fragmentary data. Existing repositories and projects have made strides towards making archaeological data F.A.I.R. (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable). However, challenges persist, particularly in managing legacy data and ensuring data reliability. In the present work a reputation based trustworthy Archaeological Information System (AIS), aimed at addressing data credibility and reliability to validate interpretations, has been presented.
