Revolucionando la producción de alimentos: análisis de los sistemas de fábricas de plantas
Plant factories emerge as a revolutionary solution in modern agriculturalproduction, offering an unprecedented fusion of advanced technology andtraditional cultivation methods. These facilities, characterized by their strictenvironmental control, promise to overcome contemporary challenges such asclimate change, urbanization, and the growing demand for food, through theoptimization of growth conditions and resource use efficiency. In countries likeMexico, where agricultural traditions are deeply rooted and sustainability needsare evident, plant factories have adapted to address specific challenges, such aswater scarcity in arid areas and the demand for urban agriculture. Simultaneously, the integration of renewable energies, advanced monitoring systems based onartificial intelligence, and ancestral agricultural techniques expand the potentialand versatility of these facilities. This article highlights the advances andapplications of plant factories in various contexts, emphasizing their relevance andpotential in transforming the global agricultural landscape.
