FOPID Controlled Indirect Matrix Converter for Wind Energy Conversion System
The execution of a predictive control strategy for an Indirect Matrix Converter (IMC) is presented in this study. The monitoring technique chooses a transition state that reduces reactive power and inaccuracy in output currents based on its basis values. Owing to the benefits over other designs, double fed induction generator (DFIG) wind turbines are now often employed in wind farms. As a result, system evaluation utilizing this type is now essential. Due to its significant features, Double Fed Induction Generators (DFIG) are effective in wind turbine uses. In this paper, a fractional-order PID (FOPID) controller for DFIG-based wind energy conversion system (WECS) is constructed. The FOPID controller was selected to increase the dynamic responsiveness of a standard PID controller with fixed gains by combining the conspicuous characteristics of fractional-order calculus and fuzzy logic functions. The simulation results from several case studies are thoroughly examined, demonstrating the advantage of the developed FOPID controller over the standard PID control strategy in following the output. The planned control strategy ensures seamless regulation of the WECS's actual and reactive power injecting into the grid while maintaining acceptable intermittent responsiveness. MATLAB/Simulink was used to calculate simulation results. In this paper the comparison graph shows the FO-PID controller efficiency level and THD values are 90.1% and 2.83% respectively.
