ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF PROPERTY OF DEPOSITORS: RELEVANT AREAS OF IMPROVEMENT OF THE CRIMINAL PROHIBITION STIPULATED BY ART. 172.2 OF THE CRIMINAL CODE OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION

The article summarizes results of studying criminal liability for organization of activities aimed at raising funds and/or procuring other property (Art. 172.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The paper analyzes Russian criminal laws on liability for illegal possession of property of depositors. The author has developed proposals for improvement of the constituent elements of a crime stipulated by Art. 172.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, relevant areas of combating illegal possession of property of depositors.
