Statistical regression analysis of bond splitting tensile properties of old and new concrete

Abstract With the gradual increase of assembled and reinforced structures in modern construction, the bonding problem of new and old concrete has become a hotspot of increasing concern for scholars and engineers. Bond tensile properties are the main aspects of bond mechanical properties, and their main influencing factors are interface roughness, old and new concrete strength, roughness treatment, and normal stress. This paper analyses the influence of each factor on bond tensile property by collating a large amount of experimental data from established scholars. The analysis results show that the bond tensile property increases linearly with the increase of roughness and nonlinearly with the rise of new and old concrete strength. Based on summarising the influence law of a single factor, the calculation equation of bond tensile property was proposed. The calculated equations derived from the statistical regression were compared with the formulas of different scholars to analyze the closeness of the experimental and calculated values; the results show that the formula proposed in this paper is more accurate and stable.
