Experimental Demonstration of Compact and Broadband 3 dB Power Splitter on SOI Platform
We designed and experimentally demonstrated the <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$1\times 2$</tex> power splitter with parabolic tapers. Within the bandwidth of 1518 to 1593 nm, our device achieved low insertion loss <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$( <$</tex> 0.94 dB) and imbalance of the output power levels (<tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$(<$</tex> 0.9 dB).
